  If your machine is not listed, identify your class by its drive
  system rather than its brand:

INSTALLATION
--------------------------------------------------------------------
  1. In VCarve or Aspire, open the Toolpaths tab.
  2. Click the Tool Database icon.
  3. Click the folder icon at the bottom of the Tool Database window,
     select HCT_vectric_Rigid-Hobby_v9.26.vtdb, and click Open.

  A group named "High Country Tools - Rigid Hobby" is added to your
  tool database.

  4. Set Machine (top right) to "High Country Tools - Rigid Hobby".
  5. Set Material (top left) to the stock you are cutting.

  Steps 4 and 5 are required. With any other machine or material
  selected, VCarve displays "Copy Settings From" and the tool appears
  to have no feeds. That reflects the current selection, not the file.

DATA SOURCE
--------------------------------------------------------------------
  Feeds and speeds were measured in our shop on a Onefinity Elite
  (Masso) Journeyman. Hardwood is the measured baseline; the
  remaining materials are scaled from it by chip load, spindle
  speed, depth of cut and stepover.

  The following are not based on in-house cutting:

    Aluminum 6061      Derived from published tooling data. Use
                       air blast or mist, one or two flutes only,
                       and treat the shallow depth of cut as a
                       hard limit.

    Dovetail and       Cut at full depth in a single pass and
    keyhole bits       derived conservatively. Prove them in scrap
                       before production work.

TUNING
--------------------------------------------------------------------
  Run the first pass as supplied. Increase the feed until you hear
  chatter, reduce it by 10-15%, and save the result as your setting
  for that material. Spindle power, workholding, tool stickout and
  frame condition all affect the outcome.

SHARE YOUR RESULTS
--------------------------------------------------------------------
  These libraries improve with real cutting data. If you tune a tool
  and it performs well, send us the tool, material, machine, feed
  rate, spindle speed and depth of cut. Verified customer data is
  incorporated into future releases.
